Congregationalism affirms that the authority of the church resides in each local body of believers. No person or organization is above it except Jesus Christ. He alone is its head. Each member has equal rights and responsiblities. However, aspects of representative democracy are not ruled out. The body of belivers may select certain persons to lead and serve in specific ways. Leaders in a local congregation are ultimately answearable to God (Heb. 13:17), but they are also repsonsible to the congregation.
Question
How should we deal with individuals in leadership that are not doing ministry in excellence????
